1. Overview
ooring (the "App") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes and why, in order to provide chore completion records, push notifications, and praise feedback among families, couples, and roommates.
ooring does not require email, password, or social account login. You can use the service with a nickname and a device-based identifier.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
The App processes only the minimum information necessary to provide the service.
- Device-based identifier: When the App is first launched, a random UUID is generated to distinguish users. This value is used instead of directly identifying information such as email address, phone number, or legal name.
- Nickname: The display name entered by the user. It is used to show who completed a chore or sent praise to members in the same space.
- Language setting: Used to display the App and notification messages in the selected language.
- Push notification token: Expo Notifications and FCM-based push tokens may be used to send chore completion notifications and praise notifications.
- Recovery code: A random recovery code may be generated so that users can recover existing account information after changing devices or reinstalling the App.
- Space data: Space name, space emoji, invitation code, member identifiers, member nicknames, and last activity time may be stored.
- Chore data: Chore name, icon, display order, last completion time, and last completer information may be stored.
- Activity records and notification data: Chore completion records, completer nickname, completion time, praise count, praise status, notification read status, and related data may be stored.
- Local data: The device may store UUID, nickname, joined space list, language setting, onboarding status, join date, push token, and related information.
The App does not require your email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, or camera information to provide its core service.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services to provide and operate the service.
- Google Firebase Firestore: Stores and synchronizes user identifiers, spaces, chore items, activity records, and notification data.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo Notifications: Requests push notification permission, issues push tokens, and sends notifications.
